Welcome to St. Peters Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod!
St. Peters Lutheran Church is a family in Christ Jesus, committed to the faithful proclamation of the Word of God, Law and Gospel, and the Confessions as given to us in the Book of Concord as the basis of truth as well as the faithful use of the Sacraments according to Christ’s institution. We believe that God’s Word speaks clearly and powerfully to His people today, just as it has since the beginning of Creation itself. We believe that people receive salvation and eternal life as a free gift of God’s love, through faith in Jesus Christ, His Son.
United in one faith and confession, it is our joy to share this good news with the world, beginning with our own community here in Wentworth, SD. The Word of God and the Gospel of salvation is proclaimed among us every week as the people of God gather around the Means of Grace to receive the gifts of God’s love. As the message of repentance and forgiveness is proclaimed we strive in faith and by the Holy Spirit to live our lives in the Light of the world, Jesus Christ.
For those who join in fellowship with us, we offer opportunities to grow in faith and love through Worship and Bible Study also through the week. We offer Sunday School, Bible History, and confirmation classes for the children. Our high school youth as well as for the adults have opportunity to attend Bible classes.
In faith, we commit ourselves into God’s eternal, loving care.
